New York September 5, 2007 Glam.com, the flagship site of Glam Media today announced the company will co-sponsor the upcoming runway shows of Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon during New York Fashion Week. Glam.com, in conjunction with retailer Lord & Taylor, the underwriter of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, will co-sponsor the three emerging designers in an effort to offer them maximum exposure within the media and retail community, alongside some of the most celebrated designers in the industry. Doo.Ri was last year’s winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which was established to help emerging American design talent find continued success in the business of fashion, and Thakoon and Rodarte were runners up. “We are thrilled to partner with Lord & Taylor to support this incredibly talented group of young designers,” said Samir Arora, chairman and CEO of Glam Media. “This sponsorship signifies our commitment to the fashion community; Glam Media is all about bringing together the relevant voices and indie publishers in fashion, celebrity style and lifestyle entertainment and so are honored to help these designers achieve tremendous exposure for their collections this season.” Fashion Week coverage on Glam.com will zero in on what most women across America really want to know about fashion including daily highlights from the shows, on-the-street looks at the Bryant Park tents, up-to-the-minute coverage of who, what, where and why at each fashion show, along with video coverage of runway looks, beauty trends from backstage, celebrity sightings in the front row, backstage atmosphere and designer Q&As. Glam will also feature related coverage from more than 25 publishers in the Glam Publisher network including FashionTribes, Papierdoll, and Second City Style live on the Glam.com homepage.
