
Online Ad Operations Technical Producer
The Technical Producer's role is to support Ad Operations with technical solutions to advertising creative, ad delivery, and other advertising support issues. Technical Producer will also be responsible for keeping current on new technologies, products, and emerging trends, allowing Glam to stay on the cutting edge of online advertising development. Technical Producer will work closely with Sales to ensure we can deliver on technical and creative requirements, and ensure seamless delivery of sold creative executions.
Specific Duties and Requirements
- Solve technical issues and provide solutions between external vendors and internal staff, including Engineering, Production, Sales Design, and Trafficking.
- Research and coordinate new technology to enhance and improve advertising product offerings.
- Work directly with Sales, Marketing, Project Managers, Engineering and Management to plan and implement new products and changes in technology.
- Document new and changing products and technologies.
- Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure all products work technically on the sites and services.
- Work with QA team to test new or changing technology and products; Support changes and improvements to ad server software as necessary.
- Support technical implementation of ad products and custom units; work closely with Campaign Manager and Creative Services to receive assets.
- Work with Product Development team to specify and implement new products and product changes.
- Field daily information requests and advise non-technical users using verbal and written means.
- Make recommendations to improve to technology and process.
Required Experience and Skills
- Intermediate level knowledge of HTML, Macromedia Flash, JavaScript, Internet file formats and web coding concepts. Experience with DHTML, and streaming video formats. Advance knowledge is a plus.
- Familiar with one or more Internet ad management or targeted marketing applications (e.g., DoubleClick DART Enterprise, DoubleClick DFP, 24/7 Real Media, etc.).
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in Internet industry, Internet advertising, project management, or technical production environment.
- 3+ years experience in Internet industry; ad operations and/or technical experience.
- Familiar with online advertising, marketing, and sales concepts and metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external teams, including Sales and Customers. Familiarity with Microsoft Project a plus.
- Rich Media Technology experience preferred (e.g. Eyeblaster, Unicast, etc.)
- Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be expected to manage and report on multiple projects.
